In the 1920s, Giovanni "Nico" Causin left Musestre for Venice, where he and his wife Emma opened a bar. Their handcrafted gelato quickly became a local favorite, especially the iconic Gianduiotto, loved by Angelina Jolie as well.

You have to check out Gelateria Nico—it’s one of my favorite spots in Venice! Their Gianduiotto is the absolute must-try, a delicious block of chocolate-hazelnut gelato drowned in fresh whipped cream. But what I really love is going there for a glass of prosecco, sitting by the water, and soaking in the stunning sunset over the Giudecca.
